Cooling configuration on iLO

냉각 구성을 변경 후 적용하면, 자동으로 iLO가 리셋되는데, 한 번 더, iLO를 리셋하는것을 추천...

 

iLO 상에서, Cooling 설정 변경 후 저장하면,

iLO Web UI 및 BIOS 상에는 바로 적용되는데, ilorest로 조회되는 정보는 변경되지 않는다.

iLO reset을 2회(추가 한 번 더) 수행하면 적용된다.

ThermalConfig=IncreasedCooling

 

충분한(?) 시간을 기다려 본 것 같은데 변화하지 않은 것을 볼 때, 캐싱 정보가 업데이트 되지 않는 것으로 판단되고, 온라인에서, 서비스 영향 없이 수행하는 작업이니, iLO 리셋을 한 번 더 해서, 정확히 설정된 것을 확인하는 것이 좋다고 판단됨. (정신 건강이 ....)

 

RESTful API: ilorest 이용:

 

1. Open RESTful Interface Tool Console

2. execute below syntax command:

도메인 확장의 경우, 구성이 잘못되지 않는 경우, 거의 서비스 다운 타임 없이 확장이 가능하다. 

 

그러나, 도메인 축소의 경우, 서비스 다운 타임이 반드시 필요하다.

기존 Oneview 도메인을 삭제 후, 축소된 도메인으로 새로 생성하는 작업으로 이해하면 된다.

Synergy를 운영 중, FLM 모듈을 재기동 해야할 상황이 있을 때,

 

Reset a Frame Link Module

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Enclosures.
  2. Select Actions > Reset link module.
  3. Select the frame link module to reset.
    If there is only one frame link module, it is selected for you.
  4. Click Yes, Reset.

Note. Rebooting a frame link module will cause a brief disruption of the management ring network. The disruption may last up to 30 seconds.

    The reboot pop-up window appears.
  3. Choose either the Active or Standby frame link module.
  4. Press Yes, reboot.

Gen10/iLO5/RHEL6.8/hponcfg 수행 중 오류 발생 - CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded

 

일부 기존 OS에 포팅되어 있는 CHIF 드라이버(iLO와의 통신을 위한 Channel interface driver)와 Gen10 시스템의 iLO 5와 호환 문제로 명령 수행 중 오류가 발생되나, 새로운 CHIF 드라이버를 통해 해소 가능.

Apollo 6500 Gen10/XL270d Gen10 시스템 운용 중, FAN 장애 경험 시 교체 관련, 
IML 상에 다른 정보가 표시될 수 있다. (e.g. FAN #9 failure)

 

가이드 문서를 참조 시, numbering은 5개만 확인됨에 혼동이 있을 수 있음.
