RHEL/hp-snmp-agents 데몬 구동 시 Controller not stopped yet! 메시지 발생

hp-snmp-agents 를 설치 후 RHEL 6.4 OS의 messages 상에 아래와 같은 로그가 반복적으로 발생된다.

# tail -2 /var/log/messages

위 메시지는 USB 장치에 대하여 정상적으로 자원이 전환되지 않아 발생한 메시지로,

운영상에 문제는 없으나, ProLiant 장비에 RHEL 6.x를 운영 시 간헐적으로 발생 가능한 메시지다.

This message means that Halted bit in Status register has not been set

The persistent mouse and keyboard setting is disabled by default.

In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, when lsusb -v is run to poll the server resources, a message is posted to the syslog. The cmastdeqd has a script that runs and executes the command "lsusb -v -s". This agent polls the server every thirty seconds by default and thus the message is posted to the syslog at that rate. After cmastdeqd is stopped, if "lsusb -v" is manually executed at command-line the message will still post to syslog until Red Hat update is applied.
