HP 서버에 VMware ESXi 5.x를 운영 중에, 물리적인 메모리 장애가 확인되지 않는 상태에서,
vCenter 관리 콘솔에서 해당 서버의 Memory에 부품 장애 경고가 나타나는 경우.
아래 정보를 확인하여 물리적 장애를 중복 체크 하자.
1. 전면 System Insight Display (Health/Memory LED)
2. HP Insight Diagnostics Offline Edition Complete Test
3. BIOS - Memory Test
4. IML log
위 정보에서 장애를 확인할 수 없는 상태에서, 아래 처럼 vCenter에 장애 경고가 지속적으로 확인된다면,
아래 과정을 진행하여 정정할 수 있다.

1. vCenter의 Hardware Status 탭으로 이동하여 System Event log 보기를 선택
2. Event log 리셋을 클릭 후 수행 확인
3. 업데이트를 선택하여 메모리 오류 내용 소거 확인
4. Alerts and warning 보기를 선택
5. Sensor 리셋을 클릭 후 수행 확인
6. 업데이트를 클릭하여 메모리 오류 내용 소거 확인
7. 위 과정 중 정상진행되지(메모리 정보 정상 표시) 않는 경우 ssh를 통해 ESX의 Management Agent 재시작
e.g.) ESXi의 경우
# > services.sh restart
8. 업데이트를 클릭하여 메모리 오류 내용 소거 확인

1. Go to Hardware Status tab and select the System event log view.
2. Click on Reset event log and allow to complete.
3. Click on Update, once complete the memory error should clear.
4. Select the Alerts and warnings view.
5. Click on Reset sensors and allow to complete.
6. Click on Update, once complete and the memory error might clear.
7. If not, SSH to the ESX and restart the management agents.
Eg., for an ESXi server ? services.sh restart.
8. Click on Update again and once complete, the memory error should be cleared.
