Symptom
The Integrated Management Module (IMM) reports one (1) of the following errors with the RAID subsystem, but upon inspecting the RAID subsystem logs, no corresponding entry can be found.
Sensor RAID Vol State has transitioned to non-recoverable from a less severe state.
Sensor ROMB Volume has transitioned to non-recoverable from a less severe state.
A few minutes after reporting this error message, the IMM will follow-up with one (1) of the following informational message.
Sensor RAID Vol State has deasserted the transition to non-recoverable from a less severe state.
Sensor ROMB Volume has deasserted the transition to non-recoverable from a less severe state.
(where RAID = Redundant Array of Independent Disks)
Solution
This behavior has been corrected in Integrated Management Module II (IMM) version 4.10 (Build ID TCOO32C).
This behavior has been correct in Integrated Management Module II (IMM) version 4.00 (Build ID TCOO30K) for System x3250 M6, machine type 3633, 3943.
Workaround
If no corresponding entry is found within the RAID sub-system logs, the error message within the IMM can safely be ignored.
Do not replace any hardware. This is a software issue that will be corrected on IMM.
