최신 NIC fw Upgrade(combo image v20.26.42)를 통해 해소 가능
원인
시스템 종료 후, 냉각을 담당하는 Aux power mode에서, 대상 NIC의 온도 정보가 확인되지 않아 FAN의 가속 동작 발생
Note. 일반적인 환경에서, 시스템 전원 종료 시, 부품의 온도 관리를 위해 30% 이하에서 구동되도록 설계되어 있으나, 냉각 상황(일부 내부 장치 온도)이 확인되지 않아 50% 동작(as designed)
> 신규 fw에서 Aux power mode를 비활성화하여 조치
This issue occurs because the network adapter has an Aux-Power-Fan mode feature that is being enabled by error, and as a result of this, the network adapter is unable to provide the correct temperature; therefore, the system fan management firmware switches to a backup setting, which is a fixed 50% fan speed. Normal operation is 30% or less.
The new firmware disables the Aux-Power-Fan mode feature and prevents the high fan speed.
